One of my favourite mindful practices is simply being outside and connecting with nature. I love spending time in the woods, noticing the small details around me, capturing photographs and taking time to understand and appreciate the natural world.
For me, nature is a way of connecting with Pachamama — the Earth and the land around me. I love watching the seasons change, and the way each one brings its own unique energy, colours and little sparks of joy.
I also have a deep connection with the stars and the night sky. Stargazing is one of my favourite things to do, particularly during the autumn and winter months when the nights are longer and the skies can be incredible. I’m very lucky to live somewhere with limited light pollution, so from my own garden I get to see some truly incredible sights. There is something magical about standing outside beneath the stars and looking up into the vastness of the universe. Sometimes the things I see feel almost as though they are not of this world.
Some of the photographs shared here are from my time living in India, where I spent two years immersed in a very different environment and way of life. It was during this chapter of my life that I completed my Reiki training and had the space to slow down, reflect and turn inward. It became an important part of my own healing journey.
I love capturing these little moments of beauty when I come across them, and because I don't use social media, I wanted to create this space to share them instead. My hope is that these photographs can share a little of the joy, peace and wonder that I experience when I'm out in nature.
This page is simply a collection of moments, places and experiences that have brought me joy, curiosity, peace and a deeper sense of connection.
